How to find long tail keywords method & tutorial:

1. use a keyword combination generator
2. use google's new search based keyword tool
3. use spyfu.com to check out the competition
4. copy competitors paid and organic keywords
5. run new combinations in the generator
6. save all keywords each on its own line in a text file
7. open Web Ceo and create a project titled yoursite.com
8. go to the ranking tool, click competitors tab, create a new profile
9. with your text file open, copy up to 20k lines of keywords
10. in Web Ceo there should be a window with tabs for configuring a profile
11. select Google as the search engine and click the next tab 'keywords'
12. click the import/add button on the right and import from clipboard
13. save the profile
14. in the profile drop down name your profile 'g1' meaning general basket 1 if you have more than 20k keywords
15. close the ranking tool and open the keyword research tool
16. on the second tab, create a new basket called 'g1'
17. advanced import the keywords from the ranking tool
18. right click on the keyword list and hit refresh data in basket
19. sort by approx monthly searches and see what the best performing keywords are
20. analyze for potential long tail keywords
21. create a new basket called 'targets'
22. go back to the 'g1' basket
23. select the best performing keywords and add them to the targets basket
24. take any related keywords and categorize further
25. important: delete all the garbage keywords, otherwise Web Ceo will start to freeze and take hours to process because there's a million keywords in the database
26. open the ranking tool and delete all the keywords from 'g1' profile
27. take top performing 'g1' target keywords and use them to make new combinations and get suggestions on spyfu.com and google's search based tool
28. for each list rinse and repeat, build lists and increase traffic by ranking well for dozens of easy to rank targets
